Russia Private Jet Ground Transfer — Vnukovo-3, Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo

May 13, 2026 · 7 min read · FFGR Russia VIP Team

Moscow's three major airports serve both commercial and private aviation, but private jet arrivals and departures flow through dedicated FBO and terminal facilities that require specific ground logistics knowledge. Vnukovo-3 — Russia's premier business aviation facility — serves the majority of international private aircraft arriving in Moscow, with Sheremetyevo's Terminal D handling secondary private aviation and Domodedovo covering southeast-routed private traffic. FFGR Russia provides seamless airside-to-destination ground transfer for all three airports.

01

Vnukovo-3 — Moscow's Premier Business Aviation Hub

Vnukovo-3 (VKO) is one of the largest and best-equipped private terminal facilities in Europe, serving over 50,000 business aircraft movements annually. The terminal's airside vehicle access allows arrival at the aircraft door; for departures, the terminal's secure forecourt accommodates multiple vehicles simultaneously without the congestion that affects commercial terminals.

FFGR Russia maintains a permanent Vnukovo-3 operational relationship: our drivers hold the airport's airside access clearance, know the four different FBO handling sequences used at Vnukovo-3 (each aircraft type is handled differently), and coordinate with the on-duty FBO dispatcher in real time as the aircraft approaches.

02

Vnukovo to Central Moscow — Route Optimisation

Vnukovo Airport is 30 km south-west of the Kremlin. The standard routing via the Kiev Highway (M3) takes 40 to 60 minutes depending on time of day; the preferred FFGR Russia routing uses the Vnukovo-MKAD connector to the Third Ring Road (TTK) westbound section, then cuts to Kutuzovsky Avenue — saving 8 to 15 minutes versus the M3 in average conditions.

For morning private jet arrivals — the most common pattern for European clients — the Vnukovo-City transfer occurs against the inbound morning commute. Our drivers run counter-commute routing (Kutuzovsky westbound to City's Presnenskaya entry) that uses the less-contested western approach to Moscow City towers.

03

Sheremetyevo Private Aviation

Sheremetyevo (SVO) handles a smaller proportion of private aviation than Vnukovo but is the arrival point for aircraft connecting from Aeroflot/SkyTeam hubs and for certain diplomatic arrivals at the government terminal (Terminal A, north complex). Our Sheremetyevo drivers are based in the airport's north zone and coordinate through Sheremetyevo's private terminal handling agents.

The Sheremetyevo-to-Moscow routing via the Leningradsky Highway (A10) is Moscow's most variable route: 30 to 90 minutes depending on time of day. FFGR Russia uses the Khimki bypass to the MKAD when the Leningradsky mainline is at capacity — an alternate routing that adds 4 km but saves 15 to 25 minutes in peak traffic.

04

Inter-City Private Aviation — Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Rostov

For clients using private aviation to reach Moscow from Russian regional cities, FFGR Russia coordinates ground transport at both ends. Kazan International (30 km from central Kazan), Koltsovo Airport Yekaterinburg (15 km from centre), and Platov Airport Rostov-on-Don (35 km from centre) are all served by our regional partner network with FFGR Russia quality standards.

For multi-city Russian programmes — Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi in sequence — we coordinate the full ground-transport chain: aircraft arrival at each city's FBO, city-to-hotel transfer, hotel-to-FBO departure transfer, with a single FFGR Russia account manager across the complete itinerary.

05

Departure Logistics — the Pre-Departure Window

For Vnukovo-3 departures, FFGR Russia recommends hotel departure 75 minutes before slot time during weekday mornings (07:00 to 10:00), when Kutuzovsky Avenue congestion is most significant. Our departure service includes real-time traffic monitoring from hotel pick-up onward — if the route shows delay, we alert the FBO and request a slot adjustment before the vehicle leaves the hotel.

Departure-side customs clearance at Vnukovo-3 is processed in the terminal's dedicated clearance suite rather than the aircraft; our drivers carry passenger documentation on behalf of the principal when required, coordinating with the FBO's customs agent for pre-processed departure clearance.

06

Booking Aviation Transfers

Aviation transfer bookings require the aircraft tail number, FBO handling agent name, ETA (or ETD for departures), and destination or origin address. With these data points, FFGR Russia confirms the vehicle positioning, FBO coordination, and routing plan within 30 minutes.

For recurring Moscow private aviation clients — regular visitors arriving at Vnukovo-3 — FFGR Russia offers a standing aviation transfer account with airside pre-clearance maintained continuously, priority dispatch, and integrated billing with the client's FBO handling account.
